I decorated yet another box. This is one where I keep some of my paints and other art supplies. The box was originally silver color and I covered it by making a collage of diamond (or rhombus) shaped magazine cut-outs. I drew a shape I liked on grid paper, cut it out (if you fold the paper first and then cut, you can make it more symmetric) and used it to make a more durable model on cardboard. You can download and print out my diamond template right here, if you prefer. And then I used the model to cut out diamonds from magazine pictures I liked. I glued them on the box, leaving small margins between the diamonds and finally covered the whole thing with contact paper.

Alkuper�inen laatikko on hopeanv�rinen ja p��llystin sen lehdist� leikatuilla vinoneli�ill�. Piirsin haluamani muodon ensin ruutupaperille, leikkasin sen irti (symmetrisemm�n tuloksen saa jos taittelee paperin ennen leikkaamista) ja k�ytin sit� tukevamman pahvimallin tekemiseen. Voit tulostaa timanttimallini t��lt�. Leikkasin pahvimallin avulla lehtikuvia ja liimasin ne laatikkoon j�tt�en kuvioiden v�liin pienet tyhj�t tilat. Lopuksi p��llystin laatikon kontaktimuovilla.
