Quack, quack! We took a little walk one afternoon from the hotel to the natural park of s'Albufera in Playa de Muro, Alcudia. The walk there and back (+ the little lap we did at the park) turned out to be 14 km. Oops. The park closed already at 6 pm and we were in a bit of a hurry to run out of there before the gates were locked.
What I remember from s'Albufera was the high reeds. Really high. 4-5 m high. We did see a few birds from the bird watching booths (what are they really called?), but mostly we just heard Donald Duck noises from the bed of reeds. We did spot Upupa epops, though (the hoopoe, no picture, I had just written down the funny name in my notes).
Kaislikossa suhisee. Tai kvaakkuu... Teimme er��n� iltap�iv�n� pienen k�velylenkin hotellista Alcudian Playa de Murossa sijaitsevaan s'Albuferan luonnonpuistoon. Matkaa sinne ja takaisin (+ luonnonpuistossa tekem�mme lenkki) kertyikin 14 km. Hups. Puisto meni kiinni jo klo 18 ja tuli muuten v�h�n kiire juosta sielt� ulos ennen kuin portti meni lukkoon.
S'Albuferasta j�i mieleen todella pitk�t kaislat, siis 4-5 m korkeat kaislat. Lintujen tarkkailukopista n�kyi muutamia lintuja noilla kosteikoilla, mutta enimm�kseen kaislikoista vain kuului Aku Ankka -��ni�. Upupa epops kyll� bongattiin (harjalintu, ei kuvissa, nimi vaan on mieleenpainuva).
